MKS Będzin is a men’s volleyball club from Będzin with a rich history, dating back to 2001. However, its roots trace to the former Workers’ Sports Club Grodziec,
established in 1945 by employees and the then-management of the Grodziec Coal Mine. The team has established a strong presence in Polish volleyball, advancing through various league levels. A key moment in the club’s history was its promotion to the elite PlusLiga in 2014, where MKS Będzin competed with the nation’s best teams. Over the years, the team has achieved many successes, earning recognition from both fans and opponents alike.
In the 2024/2025 season, MKS Będzin returned to PlusLiga and plays its home matches at the modern Będzin Arena,
located in the heart of the city. The team is led by renowned Polish volleyball player and long-time national team member Dawid Murek, supported in his coaching efforts by Radosław Kolanek, a Skra Bełchatów alum. The title sponsor this season is Nowak-Mosty, with our company, Hazel, proudly serving as one of the lead sponsors.
We decided to support and promote this team because volleyball has always been close to our hearts—whether from the stands or on the court. It’s a sport that combines energy, precision, and a spirit of teamwork. Its unique form of competition enhances not only physical fitness but also communication skills and strategic thinking. Volleyball demands precision, quick reflexes, and exceptional collaboration.
